Bibbledy bob’s chosen charity for 2008 is the Cystic fibrosis trust www.cftrust.uk.org

About CF – Cystic Fibrosis (CF) is the UK's most common life-threatening inherited disease. Cystic Fibrosis affects over 8,000 people in the UK. Over two million people in the UK carry the faulty gene that causes Cystic Fibrosis - around 1 in 25 of the population. If two carriers have a child, the baby has a 1 in 4 chance of having Cystic Fibrosis. Cystic Fibrosis affects the internal organs, especially the lungs and digestive system, by clogging them with thick sticky mucus. This makes it hard to breathe and digest food. Each week, five babies are born with Cystic Fibrosis. Each week, three young lives are lost to Cystic Fibrosis. Average life expectancy is around 31 years, although improvements in treatments mean a baby born today could expect to live for longer.
Bibbledy bob says that this cruel debilitating disease is very often forgotten about yet it affects so many bright young gifted children in our society. It robs them of a healthy childhood and quite often results in long stays in hospital enduring painful treatments. Please help Bibbledy bob reach his target for 2008 of raising £5,000 for the CF trust.
Also please visit www.cftrust.org.uk and get involved in helping in any way you can.
Bibbledy bob reserves several days a year for charitable events. If you feel he can help with your event please do get in touch.
Bibbledy Bob says – I am so lucky to have a wonderful career and good health. It’s important for me to be able to give something back in return. So please if you think I can help just ask.
